Donny Deutsch Dropped from Morning Joe
Die Ansichten des Markenexperten zu Trump sind zu extrem (MSNBC)
Donny Deutsch has been quietly sidelined from MSNBC’s Morning Joe, and insiders say it’s no accident. The network’s execs reportedly ordered producers to scale back his appearances after concerns over his on-air rants about Donald Trump.
“[Rebecca] Kutler (MSNBC’s new president) doesn’t want a war with Trump,” an MSNBC insider spilled. “So she’s told anchors to tone it down.” .
Deutsch, once a near-regular on the show, has barely been seen in recent weeks. His last appearance ended in a heated clash with Mika Brzezinski over Trump’s pardoning of January 6th rioters.
“Mika doesn’t like him. No matter how much Donny kisses up to her with over-the-top compliments, she thinks he’s a joke,” the source dished. “If it weren’t for Joe [Scarborough], he’d have been gone years ago.”
Their bad blood isn’t new. Back in 2017, Brzezinski grilled Deutsch over his past treatment of women. At the time, he defended himself by saying his behavior should be “contextualized” and that his “lifetime of feminism” should excuse any questionable moments from decades ago.
“Should I be brought down if I tried to kiss a woman 30 years ago?” Deutsch asked on-air. “I would hope not.”
